(name removed), is a girl I???ve known for just about a little more than a year. She’s the kind of girl who appearance doesn???t demand immediate attention. You???d normally miss her while walking by her on the street. She is no ordinary girl though, she is far from that.
She has beautiful dark red/light brown hair. Whether it be something as simple as a pony tail, or something complex for a special occasion, her hair is breathtaking. It has natural curls in it which reflect light with brilliance giving her that shampoo supermodel look. Gently caressing it releases the enticing smell of exotic flowers that gently tickle your nose.
Her brown eyes stand out like sparkling jewels refracting light with brilliance. They say that our eyes are a gateway to the soul, if such is the case, then those gates are 2nd in beauty only to those guarded by St. Peter himself.
???The Boondock Saints??? is the story of two brothers that one day find themselves staring death in the face. With no choice but to fight for their survival, they overcome a difficult situation and kill their assailants. A simple case of self-defense, end of story? No way!
Later that night, a voice reading scriptures from the Bible plays through their head as they sleep.? When they wake up to the sounds of a thunderstorm and dripping water in their cell, they realize what they???ve been called to do??????destroy all that which is evil, so that which is good may flourish.???

I don???t care what kind of movies you like or don???t like, I highly suggest you rent/buy/borrow/steal a copy of ???The Boondock Saints??? and watch it tonight. Its one of my favorite movies, and a movie I’ve made sure to watch every St. Patrick???s Day for the past few years. Go watch it and let me know what you thought of it!

College homework, it has a way of completely ruining your weekends!? Week after week, it seems that this perpetual cycle of Friday & Saturday night homework may never end for me.? Like poorPrometheus, I feel as if I’m being punished for seeking the fire of knowledge to spread among mankind.
Two weeks ago, a herculean figure appeared before me and rescued me from the eagle that was my homework.? Did this mysterious figure do my homework for me? Oh no, but the figure and I did work together to accomplish our common goal for the weekend.
As we got situated, the figure inquired about my sudden motivation for homework and the enormous smile across my face, and it was then that I consciously realized how great of an effect this figure had on me upon its arrival.
I play back the moment in my head, an all too familiar face walks into my room while I stare blankly at the screen displaying the homework. The room seemed to brighten as I realized I had company. The once daunting task that stood before me suddenly seemed like nothing more than a mere pebble at my feet. The gloomy outlook of yet another Friday night gone to waste suddenly changed into a sunny disposition leaving me eager to converse with the guest. In short, I was completely happy!
Happy to be doing homework on a Friday night? Yes! My special guest was all the inspiration I needed to accomplish my task in record time. Tonight, is homework night…and I’m looking forward to it.
A foot, aimed directly at my head, barely missed its target as I calmly leaned just enough to be out of range. A flurry of punches immediately followed another foot whizzing by, each deflected with precision. One, two, three more kicks all missing their targets after being intercepted by a block or an opposing kick.
The intensity of my opponent seemed to grow with each failed attack. The opponent presents its back to me for just a second, “here it comes!” I thought. “This person’s last resort and most powerful attack.” I slightly change my stance to narrowly avoid a jumping spin side kick. As the opponent lands, I counter with my first attack of the match, a simple round house kick aimed at the ribs.
As I stare up at the night???s sky, and gaze at the stars, I am baffled by the brilliance and wonders of space. So many stars, so many systems of planets. Surely one must have life upon it. I enjoy clear nights without clouds, because they give me a perfect glimpse into the final frontier, one which I hope to explore on day.
A cool crisp breeze caresses my face as I lay there, bringing me back to earth. The night is silent and devoid of any life it seems. Wait! Something appears to be moving in the bushes! Its a cat hunting for bugs???the cat pounces, scratches at the ground and bites at a wounded night crawler.
Something soars over my head in the darkened sky! I scan above me and realize it was a bat. Flapping its wings with no visible rhythm or pattern, it flies in a circular motion high above my head. After several figure eights, it flies away…hopefully with tonight’s prey.
Once again I turn my attention to the stars above me and gaze at their beauty. Its rather unfortunate that most of those stars have long since faded away. They are nothing more than light that travels millions of light-years to be gazed upon in wonder by us. Look up at the sky and see death. Look up at death and wonder upon life.
